There is now a new store display for those of you that live in northern Iowa.
Tom joecken is his name, and he has a display of my Adirondack furniture in readlyn Iowa, about 20 miles north of waterloo.

Our top-selling Adirondack Chair features a sculpted seat, and curved back slats for maximum comfort! It is made entirely out of 5/4 Western Red Cedar.
Sit your self down into one of our chairs and you will feel relaxed right away, and cedar is cool to the touch in the hot sun.
The parts are held firmly in place using 1 3/4" stainless steel fasteners, and special, elasticized polyurethane adhesive, to keep the chair rigid, even when put through -40 to 120 degree temperature.
We use only select Western Red Cedar as our feedstock of choice, since it is simply the finest outdoor building material available! |
Unfinished cedar has richly textured grain with colors ranging from mellow amber's, reddish cinnamon's and rich sienna browns. Its warm coloring is complimented by a uniform, fine-grained texture with a satin luster.
Western Red Cedar contains natural oils that act as preservatives to help the wood resist insect attack and decay.
Cedar is also a dimensionally stable wood that lies flat and stays straight. Properly finished and maintained, Western Red Cedar ages gracefully and endures for many years, even under severe conditions.
It is not uncommon for a properly finished Adirondack Chair to last 100 years, there are many in existence to prove it. Naturally, these furniture pieces often become family heirlooms, and are handed down generations after generation, becoming sought after prizes for collectors. |
